1. Process flow of carbon fiber grid reinforcement :

Prepare wet construction machinery → Raw concrete base treatment → Wet spray polymer mortar mixing → Spray the first layer of mortar on the surface of the structure → Cut carbon fiber grid → Lay carbon fiber grid on the mortar → Fix the tail of the grid → Spray the second layer of mortar → Smooth the surface


2. Grassroots cleaning and chiseling

Use a high-pressure air pump to clean up the dust and scum on the reinforcement surface of the component, especially around the expansion bolt. Before spraying the polymer mortar, the surface of the reinforced component should be sprayed and cured 6 hours in advance to keep it moist, and allowed to dry until the surface of the component is damp and there is no clear water.


3. Construction of polymer mortar

(1) Preparation of polymer mortar:

Prepare the mortar according to the product specification. Use a small mortar mixer for mixing, mixing for about 3 to 5 minutes until uniform, and then pour it into a ash bucket for plastering. When using the manual plastering process, it is not advisable to mix too much polymer mortar at a time. It should be prepared according to the construction schedule to avoid too long storage time for the prepared mortar. The storage time of the mortar should not exceed 30 minutes.

(2) Use spraying equipment to spray the first layer of polymer mortar:

The first layer of polymer mortar is sprayed before the solidification of the interface agent. Adjust the hand wheel, pump pressure, turn on the compressed air switch at the nozzle of the spray gun, and spray the material evenly between the reinforced surface and the carbon fiber grid. The thickness of the spraying should basically cover the net piece, and one spraying should be completed.

4. Carbon fiber grid installation and paving

Carbon fiber mesh blanking: The carbon fiber mesh blanking should be carried out in accordance with the instructions of the design document and the specific size of the reinforcement. The size of the blanking should consider that the overlap length in the force direction is not less than /mm, and the non-force direction does not need to be overlapped;

When the mesh needs to be lapped, the lap length along the direction of the main ribs should meet the design requirements. If the design is not specified, the lap length should not be less than /mm, and should not be located at the maximum force position.

Quickly pave the grid into the mortar from one side to the other, and press it in gently, so as not to sag.


5. Subsequent spraying of polymer mortar:

Subsequent spraying should be carried out after the initial setting of the previous polymer mortar. The subsequent spraying thickness is controlled at 10~15mm. To reach the thickness required by the design, the surface is smoothed, compacted, and polished with an iron trowel.


6. Plastering range of polymer mortar

The expansion dimension should not be less than 15mm beyond the edge of the designed plastering range.


7. Thickness of carbon fiber mesh protective layer

The thickness of the carbon fiber mesh protective layer shall not be less than 15mm.


8. Maintenance

Under normal temperature, within 6 hours after the construction of the polymer mortar, reliable moisturizing and curing measures should be taken, and the curing time should be no less than 7 days, and should meet the time specified in the product instructions.
