A deep-water super-large highway cable-stayed bridge, the bridge is a double-tower double-cable steel box girder cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 460m, a main bridge length of 964m, a full width of 38.8m.
Challenge: Due to the large traffic volume and high proportion of heavy-loaded vehicles on the bridge, the bridge has serious problems: support damage, cable PE damage, large loss of prestressed steel strands causing box girder cracking, etc.
Solution: There are transverse cracks in the span of many box girders, and some cracks have the problem of the bottom plate and the web penetrating. For these bridge spans, the method of tensioning external prestressed carbon plates on the bottom of the box girder is used for maintenance and treatment to improve the bearing capacity of the box girder.
The carbon fiber plate used is 3mm thick and 2cm wide. The matching anchors have the characteristics of small slots, small stress loss, and high anchoring efficiency, and can effectively avoid the damage to the original structure caused by excessive tension of a single anchoring system.
70 sets of carbon fiber plate anchors are used for reinforcement of a single span. The overall stress of the single span of the bridge is uniform, avoiding the sharp change of stress in the cross section of the bridge span. And the use of multiple sets of anchors in a single span can effectively reduce the impact of the failure of a single set of anchors on the overall performance of the single span. A total of 3,220 sets of prestressed carbon fiber plates are used in the 46 spans of the bridge.
