U-shaped hoop anchor

U-shaped hoop anchor

When reinforcing the beam with carbon fiber cloth, a U-shaped hoop is often added to the end of the carbon cloth for anchoring. The U-shaped hoop itself is also a carbon cloth with a strip width of 10cm-20cm. Put the carbon cloth strip around the bottom of the beam and stick it to the side of the beam, which is U-shaped. If conditions permit the carbon cloth strip to make a full circle around the beam, the effect is better.

Carbon plate mounting method

In this method, the reinforcement uses carbon fiber board instead of carbon cloth. The cross-section of the carbon plate can be determined according to the needs. The commonly used size is 1cm~2cm, the thickness is 1.4mm~2mm, and the length is not limited.

First, a groove is made in the concrete protective layer, the groove width is slightly larger than the board width, and the groove depth is subject to not injuring the steel bar. After that, the trench is cleaned and filled with epoxy resin, and then the carbon plate is embedded. The epoxy resin was squeezed out and finally smoothed and trimmed. Since the carbon plate and the concrete have three contact surfaces (only one side of the carbon-bonded cloth is in contact), they can be firmly bonded, and the work on the surface of the concrete is reduced.

"Riding stud" anchoring method

The same method is used for the anchors of "horse riding nails", that is, after sticking the carbon cloth or carbon plate, a "horse riding nail" is pressed every 30 cm along the length of the carbon cloth. Insert steel nails on the small steel plates with holes at both ends, and drive the steel nails into the concrete along the sides of the carbon cloth. The small steel plates will press the carbon cloth tightly and anchor it. Therefore, it can be firmly bonded, in addition, it also reduces the T work for treating the concrete surface.

"Fibre bundle anchor" anchoring method

"Fibre bundle anchor" anchoring method

The material used for the "fiber bundle anchor" is the same as the U-shaped hoop anchor. First cut a bundle of carbon fibers to the required length, soak the fiber bundles in epoxy resin for use, and punch holes in the reinforcement section for the fiber bundle nails to be inserted. Then stick the same carbon plate (cloth) to cover the punched holes. Then, before the epoxy resin of the fiber bundle is solidified, it is inserted into the eyelet through the carbon cloth. Finally, the exposed fiber bundle ends are spread out horizontally and pasted on the carbon plate, and they are round or shoulder-shaped when spread out.
