Project Overview 

For the main building of Sichuan Museum, after the construction of the main project is completed, due to technological requirements, two structural support columns are drilled and planted on the frame beams of P column 3~4 axis, P column/11~12 axis, +4,450m. , The beam itself is reinforced with unidirectional carbon fiber sheets. The reinforcement diagram is shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2.

Carbon fiber reinforced material

(1) Carbon fiber adhesive: HM-180CE leveling repair glue, HM-180C3P dipping glue

(2) Unidirectional carbon fiber sheet: HM-30 carbon fiber sheet, the unit area mass of the carbon fiber sheet is 300 g/m2, the design thickness is 0.167 mm, and the tensile strength of the carbon fiber sheet is 3600Mpa.



Construction technology summary

According to the principle of reinforcement, a suitable adhesive must be selected before construction, carefully check the material's warranty and instructions for use, and grasp the relevant parameters of the material. To ensure that it has sufficient strength to ensure that the carbon fiber filaments work together, while ensuring that the carbon fiber sheet and the structure work together. During the construction process, referring to the instructions for use, each glue must be processed, especially the special glue for sticking carbon fiber sheets. The glue should fully penetrate between the carbon fiber filaments as much as possible to ensure that they work together.


Through the construction operation of the project example of the main building of the Sichuan Museum, I have deeply realized the advantages of unidirectional carbon fiber sheet structural reinforcement technology. During the construction of this project, under the premise of ensuring safety, only simple scaffolding was used, and large construction machinery and turnover materials were not required.
